Well it’s another ” junket” for Vicsail CEO Brendan Hunt. Back in Bordeaux for yet another handover ? We are sure it’s not all that easy, but Brendan reports that this preparation for “Site Office” a CNB lagoon 52 has been a real pleasure. It is one of the best specified boats he can recall.
A full service providing every possible extra was offered by Yacht Solutions”. Nicholas Rousseau from CNB made a great job of boat preparation. And the rain stopped just in time for them to leave.
With good friend and experienced Bordeaux sailor Antoine Bonsch aboard, the pair headed off before light, with a strong outgoing tide for the 60 miles passage to the sea.
Brendan reports that sailing down the Gironde with the tide is like a “luge”. Up to 5 kts of current and avoiding logs and debris makes for careful navigation, made worthwhile by the country vistas on the way.
The trip to La Rochelle can be quite rough and takes almost a whole day and night. In this trip with careful planning, they arrived in 16 hours.
The owners of Site Office are the Rawson family. Experienced power boat owners, they have created a beautiful boat. Peter , Alyssa and Jake meet the boat at La Rochelle and will spend a few quality days with Brendan and Vicsail, for some sailing and practical handover.
